Haul #1 - Summer Bits

 My withdrawal symptoms from shopping are no longer!!

Hey everyone, so i havent been shopping in so long i was starting to have withdrawal symptoms but i cured myself as I recently went to Lakeside and for those who dont know what that is, its a big shopping centre (that always leaves your purse empty, I'm kidding not always)! We did have a few problems driving up there as my brothers car kept playing up, however a 1 bottle of car oil, 4 stop off's and 2 hours later and we arrived saftly THANK THE LORD!! Anyway my holiday is coming around pretty fast and i'm in need of a few more outfits to complete my suitcase, so i've picked up a some summer bits and thought i'd share them with you. Let's get in the summer spirit...

Newlook, RiverIsland, Primark, H&M, H&M

Flower Print Dress: Newlook £29.99

This dress screams 'summertime', with the daisy flower texture all over just makes it look really girlie and pretty which is right up my street. At first I was worried about the waist band and just where about it would pull me in but I must say it does look very flattering. The back view was also pleasantly surprising, the small white buttons join the back part together and the cut out triangle that sits at the bottom of your back is also a cute touch, styling my hair in an 'up-do' would be a good idea just so you can show off all the detail on the dress. After trying it on in the fitting rooms and seeing the price i knew the dress was coming on holiday with me..

White Print Cut Out Back Shirt Dress: RiverIsland £30.00

I'm a huge online shopper as well as scowling the shops, I check all the websites maybe 3-4 times a week to see what's the latest and I've had my eye on this dress for a while now. I'm really into shirt dresses at the moment as I'm a fan of collars so with that and the print of the dress it had my attention. I wasn't sure if it would look right on me as I haven't managed to blast the love handles just yet.. I was thinking maybe it would look better on more slim figures, however the shopaholic inside me said 'what the heck buy it anyway Nat' so I did!! I purchased it without trying it on which I don't advise but in this case it didn't turn out too bad, I quite like the dress on me even if it did take a little persuasion from my mum, but once paired with the right jewellery and shoes I'm sure I'll love it even more. Like the white dress from Newlook this also has a cut out back just slightly different, it's placed further up the back center but level with the under arm but again I've put a picture below showing you.

Black Sheer Detailed Collar Shirt: Primark £10.00

I think we all know what drew me to this purchase, the collar and the price!! Okay so its not the most ideal thing to take on holiday because it's black but I actually don't own any black tops so I couldn't resist it. I've been told they do other colours but I only saw 1 other which was a nude/pinky shade with the gold buttons and detailed collar, Let me know if you have any other colours?

Shorts: H&M £19.99

I receive a catalogue of the new collections through the post from H&M and these shorts were and instant favourite when flicking through. The sheer material and loose fitting are really flattering for those who aren't keen on the tops of their legs. Let me know if you'd like to see a post on different ways I'd style these shorts?

Mint Green Basic Dress: H&M £12.99

I LOVE THE COLOUR MINT!! Recently I've been buying and wearing lots of this colour however non of it is for my holiday, Yes I know its very basic but the exposed zip on the back gave me the idea to dress it up with gold jewellery and some cute sandals or if that doesn't work I could dress it down and wear it around the pool and believe me it looks much better on than hanging in this picture. The bottom of the dress sits just above the knee and is pretty nice fitting depending on what size you get also it does come in others so see what takes your fancy, I just think I'm going to have fun messing around and see what works well with the dress.

Barry M Collection

My 'Barry M' Nail Varnish Collection.

I'm sure for all of you Barry M is a favourite too, not just because of their vibrant yet cool effects or the classy and girlie colours but because of their well applicable brushes, they apply so quick and easy and unlike a few other nail varnish I can think of Barry M polishes aren't runny. Anyway here are the one's I currently own and I've also listed a few of my favourites below..

The names:

nail effects, grey, mushroom, lilac foil, nail effect, blue moon, mint green, peach melba, strawberry ice-cream and lemon ice-cream.

1st favourite: mint green.

As you know pastel and mint colours are everywhere and I picked up this nail varnish a few weeks back as I knew it would go with so many outfits! I have a few varnishes that are pastel shades but this is by far my favourite.  This colour is defiantly in at the moment and I always think it makes my hands look browner, which is for sure a bonus. Comment below if you would like to see the outfits I'd pair with this colour? 

2nd favourite: lilac foil.

This is an limited edition polish from the Barry M range, which I was frilled to pick up at the time. I can't say I've worn it a huge amount but that's due to me deserting it to the back of my collection, however when I do wear it, it looks fab! It's not like any of the others from my entire nail varnish collection which is great cause some polishes can do duplicates leaving you with a fair few colours all the same. But yes it's a very eye catching colour and I'm going to try wear it a little more, so keep a look out!! 

3rd favourite: peach melba.

Again this polish leaves my hands looking rather tanned which I guess is why its one of my favourites, It's a great nail varnish to have if you want to add a pop of colour to an outfit or just match it with a orange peachy clutch on a night out. 

4th favourite: strawberry ice-cream.

Is this a summer colour or what?? wow girls this just makes me dream of sitting beside the pool with a cocktail in BOTH my hands and tanning my body until it sizzles. And that's why its in my favourites!

Denim Studded Shorts

I don't know about you but I'm seeing studded shorts EVERYWHERE!

With my holiday coming up in July I'm defiantly thinking of purchasing myself some denim studded short or even better creating my own DIY pair. I cant actually believe I haven't already got myself these 'must have' shorts but I've been scowling Ebay the last couple of weeks for the studs I want and I'm yet to find them but im determined that I wont give up until I find them (if you guys know where I can get some spiked pyramid studs comment below would be very much appreciated)...

I just love how they stand out, without a doubt if somebody is out wearing them they catch my eye instantly. I've seen so many different styles and the beauty of creating them yourself is you can literally stud where ever you like making it fit it to your personal style. So girls watch this space I'll do a post as soon as I've done them!

My Week In Pictures #1

Okay so towards the end of my week it was bank holiday weekend and yes I did venture out with my girl Sophie, booked a taxi with my brother and his mates (photo's below) and met our friends out, was pretty good night as it goes even if everywhere was packed. We did drink a little too much wine, but we still managed to dance the night away until our feet were sore. Hope you all had a brilliant bank holiday :)

On the right is my brother's new tattoo, and on the left is his whole sleeve (front view) yes it is all music, but that's his passion!

Products I've been reaching for throughout April

Superdrug - dry shampoo, Dove - shampoo/conditioner, Fake Bake - instant tan, TRESemme - Touchable finish hair spray, MAC - studio fix, Rimmel - nail varnish in 500 disco ball, MAC - blush in Melba, Regal Rose - spiked necklace, MAC - lipstick in creme cup, MissGuided - skull earings, Loreal - false lash telescopic, Maybelline - master precise liquid liner.

   

Rimmel nail varnish in 500 Disco Ball, £2.99

I've been reaching for this nail varnish a lot recently as I've found it can glam up your nails instantly and for those moments where your just heading out the door and suddenly realise you've forgot to paint your nails this colour is the one. I suggest everyone has this in their nail varnish collection! 

M.A.C lipstick in Creme Cup, £13.50

You can clearly see from the picture that I have very little of this lipstick left, I just can't get enough of it. I absolutly love the colour and it doesnt matter what make up i wear this shade seems to look pretty with everything. It's a cremesheen finish which is great as i have dry lips and it keeps them moist throughout the day, however sometimes i put a lipgloss over the top to vamp it up a little. It's such a lovely pinky/natural looking lipstick and will be purchasing a new one once this runs out.

M.A.C blush in Melba, £17.50

This is a new purchase but is already one of my favourites, it really wakes my face up making it look more fresh which is great when you've had like zero sleep, Melba blush can also make my face look a little slimmer depending on what brush i use which is a great bonus as we all want slim looking faces. When I've worn it on a night out i've used a little more product on the brush to give more definition in my cheeks and i must say it looked flawless (even if it did chuck it down with rain), it can give your cheeks a natural glow too just use less product. Melba is just perfect whatever the occasion.

M.A.C studio fix powder plus foundation in NW30, £19.50

I use this product everyday without a doubt, i put it over the top of my M.A.C studio fix liquid foundation and it gives me such a smooth flawless finish. The compact comes with a mirror and a spongy applicator (which i dont use) i cant express enough how much i love this product, in fact if you's want a more in depth post about this product comment below and i'll be happy to post one!

Maybelline Match Master Liquid Eyeliner, £5.99

Before i start i'll say this is one of the best liquid eye liners i've come across in a long time and i've tried several. I dont use this every day but when i do i love the look it gives me, it has a super fine tip which makes it easy to achieve the look your after and makes you look a pro at winged liner, perfect for those new to liquid liners. This is also one of my newly purchased make up items but already im loving it and cant rave enough about it, the price was a real eye catcher as i've paid £7+ for my liners before now so i was really impressed becuase usually you get what you pay for but this was so much more (price may vary depending where you buy from), the shade black/noir.

Dove Intense Repair Shampoo/Conditioner, £2.65*

I've been using this shampoo and conditioner for about 18 months now, and that alone shows you how much i love this product i honestly havent looked back. I'm definatly somebody who uses heated tools almost everyday (awful i know) and found myself with a head full of spit and damages ends so i was on the hunt for a product that could fix or atleast improve this, and i found it. 

On the bottle it reads intensive repair and 5 times less split ends and im not lying to you girls its improved my hair by at least 50 %. It does so much good to my hair and ive loved using it, the smell is divine and last for ages after washing. This product leaves my hair feeling so soft and full of life so if your someone that needs a little TLC then pick yourself up this Dove shampoo/conditioner. Prices vary depending where you go, also a little tip shop around they are normally always on offer somewhere..

TRESemme Ultimate Hold & Platinum Shine hairspray, £4.50*

TRESemme do a few different types of hairspray as I'm sure you all know but I find this particular one works well with my hair and the way I style it, seems to hold it the best and is easier to brush out than the others. The only thing I cant rate is the price as it puts such a dip in my purse I always buy them in bulk but I just find it so hard to justify paying nearly £5 for a hairspray!! But if you want the goods you have to pay the price right? It does come in a huge can of 500ml so I guess it balances out the price, you can also get smaller sizes which are handing to pop into your bag if you need a touch up/re-style. Again prices range from £3-£4.50 depending where you buy and if their on offer.

Superdrug Dry Shampoo, £1.99

Okay so my next April favourite is Superdrug *new* own brand dry shampoo, I stumbled across this looking for a quick fix between washes and thought I'd give it a go. They have 3 to choose from depending on the colour of your hair but the chocolate brownie smell is what drew me to this particular one and I must say the smell isn't half bad actually however it doesn't last very long but would you want to smell of brownies all day anyway? So yeah I just spray the dry shampoo to mainly my roots between washes and it keeps my hair looking and feeling fresh. For those who have a few festivals coming up I defiantly recommend this and with the price you cant really go wrong. 

One thing i MUST add is 'shake before use' becuase i didnt and i just got covered in brown spray (oopsy) will teach me to read the bottle before spraying next time.

Fake Bake Instant Matte Medium fake tan, £9.99

I know its been raining most of April but I've reached for this product quite a lot just to give my arms and neck a little glow as its been looking dull with this weather. I've used a fair few different self tanners and I'm yet to decide which is best for me but this one is in my April favourites as its just quick and easy to apply which if you know me that's what I'm all about 'quick fixes'!! If you have or know of any self tanners that you think are worth a try defiantly leave a comment below and I'll give them a go.

MissGuided Skull Earrings, £forgot

I haven't stopped wearing these earrings all through April, for work for meals and even on a night out. I remember buying these because I had a promotion code and needed to take it just over £45 and I'm so glad I chose these, I get so many comments on them and just love to wear them as not many people I know have one's like this and yes I like to be different. I tried to get the link for you's but couldn't find them so I'm not sure if their still available to buy but take a look for yourself if you like them, I also forgot the price but they wasn't more then £5.
